Considered the main rental kart competition on the planet, the Kart World Championship (KWC), known as the Rental Kart World Cup, kicked off the 2024 season on Sunday with the Nations Cup at the Granja Viana Kartodrome in Cotia, Brazil. The endurance race featured drivers from 17 countries competing in 36 karts, with the Brazilian team Karteiros taking the victory after nearly six hours of racing.

The team completed the race with 342 laps, securing the victory in the opening round of the Rental Kart World Championship with a one-lap advantage over their competitors. Second place went to FKart, with kart number 14. The Brazilian top 3 also included kart number 38 from the Meteoro Academia team.
“It was an intense race throughout and we didn’t give up until the final lap. We achieved first place with a team that worked tirelessly for any of our Karteiros team karts to win, and that was the key differentiator for our team and the decisive factor for this world title,” said Johnny Silva.
The professional kart champion also thanked team manager Edu Morita and the drivers who were part of the team in the Nations Cup for the victory. They are: Alex Campo, Diego Silva, Edu Neves, Edu Perez, Éric Martins, Gonçaço Oliveira, Johnny Silva, Kleber Eletric, Léo Canassa, Léo Mendes, José Prioste, Ricardo Ghirlanda, Rodrigo França, Saulo Righi, Thiago Lopes, Vini Matias, and Zé Luiz.
